Brief description
The color of these exquisitely carved Ruby Fish reminded me of the shimmering bodies of rainbow
trout. Garlands have been made for tens of thousands of years, but nowhere, have I seen an
example of a Garland that hangs like the Golden Rainbow Fish. The golden waves upon which the
Ruby Fish swim are plotted by a sequential rotation and alternation of the spiraling rectangle. Fish,
swimming in the watery subconscious are associated with the secrets of life, intuition and the eerie
depths of mystical experience. The tremendous distances covered and heroic upstream journeys of
migrating fish, are suggestive of the spiritual initiate and the cycling orbits of heavenly bodies. |
